About Prints

I take immense pride in my love for the art of film photography and the craftsmanship involved in creating every single print. To me, film photography offers a timeless and unique quality that digital counterparts simply cannot replicate. Preserving this art form is essential, but so is reducing my ecological footprint. With every step I take, I am determined to find ways to be more eco-conscious without compromising the quality of my craft. That's why I’ve chosen to work with a carbon-neutral printing company.

Process

It all starts with film, capturing those special moments that hold a deep meaning for me. Once I have exposed and developed the rolls, the heart of my work begins – hand printing. It's an art form in itself, requiring an intimate understanding of photography's chemistry and physics. Yet, it is through this meticulous process that I can ensure each photograph is infused with precision and care. While it may be time-consuming, this approach is the key to producing prints with unparalleled depth and character.

After the hand printing process, I proceed with utmost care, using state-of-the-art scanners to digitize each print. These high-resolution scanners retain the intricate nuances of the analog medium, preserving the unique essence of film photography in digital form.

From there, I create my prints using Silver-based Digital C-type technology, using professional colour paper from the Fuji Crystal archive range. The gloss finish adds a vibrant and striking touch, accentuating the colours, and giving each print a punchy, rich feel.

Being environmentally conscious is crucial to me. That's why I prioritize using carbon-neutral printers for all my printing needs. These advanced printers are powered by renewable energy sources, leaving no carbon footprint behind. This ensures that each print I produce is as environmentally friendly as possible.
